Yes, it has been done. I have completed my first ever 20km run last weekend. Man it was tough and there were a few hills I ended walking up! Now only 5 and a half weeks until the Auckland Half Marathon, so I can have confidence I will actually be able to complete it.

During my run I always think of our Christian walk how Paul descriped it as a race. And I have to agree. There were so many times when I wanted to turn around and go home. I still would have completed a good run if I had of stopped at 10km but I would have missed out on actually completing what I had started out to do. I hope that I don't turn around or take the easy path in my life and I complete the race I set out to do, even if I walk for a while.

Acts 20:24 (NIV) ...I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
